If you are looking for the latest, greatest, coolest plants, they have them. Most plants are grown right there. The store is divided into Perennial/sun, Perennial/shade, Annual/sun, Annual/shade. While huge, it is easy to navigate. Most of the sales area is in a huge greenhouse with a retractable roof. It's neat and clean, colorful, and well organized with great signage. Catalogs and price lists are online and available at the site. They don't do mail order, but it is worth your time to pack a lunch and visit.
Saturdays in the spring and summer, various craft and gardening classes are offered -- hypertufa or succulent wreath making, for example.
There are gardening-themed play areas for children.
Staff are friendly, helpful, and well informed. The owners work hard to bring in the latest from Terra Nova, Ball, Proven Winners, and others.
Prices are fair, plants are in great health, and the number of varieties carried is head-spinning!
Noteworthy collections: Heuchera, Hosta, Clematis, Sedum, Roses, Echinacea, Tomatoes, Peppers, grasses, coleus, herbs, native plants, vegetables, shrubs, trees and much more.
