I bought a number of plants from this nursery. The people are considerate, the plants are of exceptional quality, and they serve quantities of bulbs and corms like a friend, with a generous hand.
The nursery is beside the Beth Chatto gardens, and Beth Chatto is one of the grande dames of British Gardening of the last fifty years. Her books are worth reading and her style is worth considering.
One of the uses of this type of site for gardeners in the USA is that you tend to get some of the best examples of a genus in the plant lists from the nurseries, as the informed nurseries that attend the great gardens in England sell the plants with the best characteristics. This gives you the names to look for.
