Heirloom only sells roses that are grown as own root which explains the higher cost. (Grafted roses are quick/cheap way to propagate yet can have issues that own root roses don't.) The plants arrived beautifully packaged and healthy considering they shipped from the west coast to my home in VA. Heirloom's site offers videos which explain how to plant, fertilize and prune roses along with phone & email customer service reps to help you with any questions.
