A free nitrogen source that is 2% by volume!

Everyone wants to find cheap organic fertilizers. Here is one that is a source of nitrogen and calcium. Coffee shops have the very thing you need. Spent grounds will speed up the decomposition of your shredded fall leaf pile because of how much they will heat up your pile. They make a great addition to your worm bin as well. In the past it was thought that grounds are acidic, but it turns out they are neutral.

Bring a labeled five gallon bucket to your local java joint, and when you come to pick up the bounty, bring an empty one to replace it.

So, help your soil, feed the critters that reside within, make your plants grow better, and help reduce landfill waste!
