Leaves of three, leave it be. What if you accidentally touched it? Here's how to stop the rash of Poison Ivy before it starts.

Leaves of three, leave it be. Often during fall garden cleanup I find poison ivy growing, usually when I have been pulling weeds and mulching. Not noticing, I've already touched the poison ivy before I realize it is there. Not to worry. I know just what to do.

Always keep some Fels-Naptha brown laundry soap on hand. You can buy it in the detergent section of any supermarket. If you suspect you have been exposed to poison ivy, immediately wash with Fels-Naptha, using cold water. Hot water only makes your pores open more. Lather up well. The Fels-Naptha strips the oil that poison ivy leaves on your skin, stopping the rash from ever getting started. It works.
