Add tulips between your clumps of Siberian irises and add an early season of bloom.

Siberian irises have beautiful flowers. Also, the lovely grassy foliage of Siberian irises creates garden interest all year round, not just when the plants are blooming. By adding some tulips from one of the perennial classes to your Siberian Iris beds, however, you will get an entirely new bloom season with the spring bulbs. I love to use Greigii Class tulips as they have more height than the shorter Kaufmanniana types and more substance that most of the other species tulips, but all of the tulips of the Greigii, Kaufmanniana and Species divisions will return faithfully year after year.
