Some birdbaths are fairly light weight, and they can tip over during windy weather or when the ground is a bit soggy. Here is one idea on how to solve that frustrating dilemma.

The bottom of the birdbath fits nicely in a large plastic flower pot. Adding a few bricks for additional weight will ensure that there is enough weight to keep it upright. Fill the pot with sand or dirt. I do recommend deciding where you want to put it before filling it up because it will be difficult to move once full. You can even plant something slow growing at the base.
