As we approach Christmas, we're turning the focus of our Ideas toward fun and chatty conversation. Today, let's talk about feeding the birds over the winter.

There are many cute ideas and beautiful feeders available, not to mention a plethora of DIY projects for children and adults alike for feeding our feathered friends in the cold winter months.

Even with the best of intentions, I've never managed to make or build any super cute bird feeds. Sadly, not even one empty bathroom tissue roll has been smeared with peanut butter and rolled in birdseed. All is not lost, however! We have our faithful, somewhat plain bird feeders filled up every year, and the birds know just where to look for it. In fact our "Friend Cardinal" (as we've creatively named him) was peeking in the window just last week, and I'm sure he was asking me where his winter supply was!

What about at your house? Do you feed the birds?
