How To Peel a Head of Garlic in 20 Seconds!

Sounds a little far-fetched, doesn't it? But you can do it.

First you need two metal bowls approximately the same size. Separate the garlic into individual cloves and place in one of the bowls. No need to remove any of the extra wrappers at this time -- just toss everything in the bowl.

Place the 2nd bowl on top, securing it so you have the garlic enclosed.

Shake vigorously for 20 seconds ... ta da! You're done. Occasionally there will be a clove or two that might still have the wrapper attached, but those will separate easily when you rub your finger over the clove.

Obviously, if you're going to mince the garlic, the old whack with the flat side of a knife will work, but if you want whole cloves, this is the way to go.
