Spring and fall are times for major cleanup in your garden, but we need to remember to protect our eyes during all seasons. Your garden is full of hazards for your eyes: thorns on bushes, stakes used to identify plants, or a piece of dirt flipping up as we pull up a weed. In our enthusiasm to pull out weeds and clean up, we might be concentrating on grabbing the weed and completely overlook something that might get in our eyes. When we are chopping or cutting, chips fly in many directions. If you are wearing a hat, the brim could also hide dangers to your eyes.
Please be sure to protect your eyes so that you will be able to view the beauty of your garden with both eyes.
