When we decided to replace the fountain in our sunroom, we thought of another use.

Being from the "waste not, want not" generation, I hate to throw anything away and I always try to find another purpose for it before throwing it into the trash. I thought this would make a nice planter, turning the old fountain into a green one. Because it had to be secured to something pretty large, DH fastened our new planter to our oak tree and we filled it with soil and planted sedum. The sedum dies back in the winter, but returns in the spring, overflowing the sides, just like a real fountain.
