New Hosta Helps Fund Breast Cancer Research

If you're a hosta lover, now you can help fund breast cancer research with your purchase. Walters Gardens of Zeeland, Michigan, will donate 25 cents for each plant sold of their new Hosta 'Remember Me' to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. 'Remember Me' was named in memory of Sandy DeBoer, Walters' supervisor of hosta production, who died of breast cancer in 2001.

This hosta features leaves measuring 6 inches long and 4 inches wide with a bright creamy center framed by a blue-green margin. The thick foliage has shown good slug resistance. 'Remember Me' reaches a height of about 12 inches with a 30-inch spread, making it perfect for the front of a perennial border. The creamy foliage is excellent for brightening up a shady area of the garden. For more details, visit Walters Gardens.
