I grow several varieties of dragon fruit including Hylocereus undatus red. Living in northern Pa in a valley doesn't give me a lot of sunlight but they do grow well, I just do not usually get flowers or fruit. One exception was of a variety called "Exotica" this year (2013) it flowered and has started producing fruit but do not know yet what color flesh is as of yet.

Hylocereus Hybrid 'PURPLE HAZE' Has a large magenta fleshed fruit with reddish exterior, fruits are large and can be up to 2 lbs. A self polinating variety 'Purple Haze' has a sweet grape/kiwi flavor with few seeds. A high producer it will set fruit on its own with no help required. Growth is typical 3 sided Hylocereus type growth with few spines. a Hylocereus undatus cross, self polinating.
