She first planted them in 1910 when the home was built. Living there 12 years the bulbs split to 150 plants which I gave back to my landlord to plant at his home in rememberence of his Mom. 105 years after the verified original planting the descendants are still growing strong in a large container. I planted several in part shade and they faired poorly. Also nearly killed another batch with a fertilizer overdose but 3 years later they are coming back. |
