Golden Trumpet (Allamanda cathartica) |
Have |
I have this plant growing in my garden and it was here when we bought the property. It is growing in two different sections of the front garden. I have tried to kill it but it comes back from the roots. I like it but it is growing in the wrong place. Sometimes I let it grow but it wants to take over.
Allamanda (Allamanda cathartica 'Cherries Jubilee') |
Have |
This plant was given to me by a fellow MG and it is growing in the back garden close to the fence. It is growing very nicely and I enjoy the flowers. It can be pruned very short and it recuperates very fast.
Aloe Vera (Aloe vera) |
Have |
Aloe vera grows very good in my area of Central Florida. It needs to be grown part sun because the summer sun here in zone 9 is too much and the ones I grow in full sun tend to get brown in color.
Sweet Almond Bush (Aloysia virgata) |
Have |
This is one of my favorite plants. It is growing in my front yard and all kinds of insects use it. The aroma of the tiny clusters of flowers is great. I wish I could learn to propagate it as I have tried without success.....yet.
Joyweed (Alternanthera) |

Elephant Yam (Amorphophallus paeoniifolius) |
Have Trade as plant Trade as root Sell as plant Sell as root |
This is a great plant to have because it will grow the flower around May in zone 9 and after the flower dies the plant will come out and it is like one stem with three branches that look like an umbrella.

Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) |

I got the seeds of this tree from my daughter and I put them in small planters. I have, so far, 7 plants and now it is time to transplant them to bigger containers or in the ground. Update: I have one Jackfruit tree in the ground now. It is located in back of the barn garden. |
September 16, 2019: Obtained plant (I still have about three of these trees in containers and need to find a place to plant them in the ground.)
