August 3, 2015 - January 4, 2016: Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc) (Cabbage was not making heads. Due to very warm weather? Nevertheless, we fed plants to hungry sheep and goats ready to deliver! )

This WinterBor Kale was planted in October 2014 in a south facing bed against the house foundation. They produced ALL winter, ALL summer with no bolting, and through the end of 2015. Finally we got tired of freezing and eating them and fed them to the livestock!

Wonderful ground cover. It doesn't like mulch stuffed close to its base, especially during a hot summer when I kept it watered. When I cleared away the mulch in October, I found the oregano quite forgiving and the leaves are looking perfect now a month later.

Golden Sage (Salvia officinalis 'Aurea')

Used straw mulch to avoid weeds from May to August. I didn't realize it until too late but this Sage was rotting from the bottom up with the damp straw tightly around its base.
