This one is a winner! Bought in California, it has large, robust blooms, sturdy stems, interesting coloring. It is not a tall plant, but for that reason may be lovely in the landscape. Lost this in spring sprout outs. The tuber rooted when "waking up" in 2023 |

April 25, 2022: Plant emerged (Sprouts from tray "wake up" method) July 22, 2022: Bloomed (Big, early blooms. A keeper! ) April 11, 2023: Potted up (Potted up on warm day, watered and put in greenhouse. Delayed planting due to nights in high 30s for two weeks of May.) May 31, 2023: Transplanted (Planted sprouted plant at PG Johnson. Added to west end of first full row -- row one.) |
