I have eight young grapevines planted next to galvanized metal fence posts which are set in concrete. The concrete goes to a depth of 30 inches. Will this affect the plants in any way?

No. The concrete may cause the pH of the adjacent soil to rise slowly over time, but will not affect enough of the grape's extensive root zone to have any negative effects.

But is sure sounds like a sturdy trellis! Thanks for the question!
