We recently had one night of below freezing temperatures and now about half of the leaves on my plant are brown. Should I prune them back or leave them alone and what should I do about the dead flower stalks?

You can trim away damaged tissues. This includes flower stalks that suffered frost injury. Try not to cut away undamaged leaves and stems as these will help the plant recover.
