The Q&A Archives: Pruning Plants Burned By Freeze

Question: I have some African Iris and some Aztec grass that has been burned by a freeze. When should I prune them back?

Answer: Leave the damaged foliage on until spring. It can offer the remaining foliage some protection from future cold snaps. When danger of freeze is past, cut away the damaged tissues.
