Dracaena seeds are erratic to germinate and require light, bottom heat, and a lot of patience! They can take 30-180 days to sprout under ideal conditions. Sow your seeds on the surface of moistened seed starting mix and press them in with your hand, but don't cover the seeds with additional mix. Place plastic wrap over the pots or trays to help hold in the moisture, and then place in a warm area or on greenhouse propagating mats. The seeds should germinate in 30-180 days at temperatures of 75F - 85F degrees. Remove each seedling as it appears and plant in individual pots. The seedlings will require average household temperatures and bright light to maintain their health. Place the seedlings under a source of artificial light, keeping the light source 4-6 inches above the tops of the plants. Provide light 12-14 hours each day, turning it off at night. Good luck with your seedlings!
