| My Dietes has blackened leaves (looks almost like mildew) from heavier than usual frosts. A few leaves have a little green left, but the others look dead. Should I cut it back or wait till spring to see what happens? |
| The long, branching flower stems on your Fortnight lily usually last from year to year, so leave them on the plant if they're not terribly damaged. The blackened leaves are dead and should be cut off the plants. The partially damaged leaves should be cut back as well. Dietes have a clumping habit and new leaves will be produced in the spring from the base of the plant. |
