I am doing a school science project growing Bush bean seedlings using different things to water them with. My control is plain tap water. One of the things I used to water my plants with is Miracle-Gro. After growing them for 4 weeks the result came out to be that the plants I watered with water grew taller than the plant I watered with Miracle Gro. Why??

Interesting! To be quite honest I have no clear idea why that would happen since I don't know what all you did to your plants. However, height is most often related to the amount of sunlight -- is it possible your watered plants received less light?
