The Q&A Archives: Sun Exposure for Dogwoods

Question: I live in southeast Georgia. Should I plant my dogwoods in a shaded area?

Answer: Dogwoods love to have their branches and leaves in some full to filtered sun and their roots in the shady, mulched forest floor. If you have a spot that gets morning sun, that would be ideal. Too much shade and they will not bloom as well.
