| Cereus peruvianus is a tall, branching, treelike cactus that eventually reaches 30'-50' tall. The plant has striking bluish green, ribbed leaves, scattered with spines. The white flowers, 6-7 inches long and 5 inches across, open at night. It's a tender cactus, easily damaged by frost. Plant yours in a container, put it outdoors in full sunshine during the spring and summer months, and take it indoors during the fall and winter months. Cactus needs fast-draining sandy soil and very little water. |
