I just ordered 'Blue Rose" Lisianthus for our front garden, but will end up with a couple of extra plants. Can I use them in window boxes that have western exposure? Over the summer they would get full sun from around noon to sunset.

Lisianthus are fairly tall, up to 22 inches, but if your containers are larger ones they should do well in a sunny location. You might wish to combine them with another shorter hot sun lover such as the annual flowering vincas which come in shades of pink and white.
