The Q&A Archives: Horsetail

Question: Do you know of a source for horsetail plants or roots?

Answer: Horsetail (Equisetum) is a weed that grows in moist, marshy areas. It's generally considered a nuisance and is extremely difficult to eradicate once established. The plants reproduce by spores, and the roots travel far and wide, sprouting at intervals, to overtake an area in a very short time. Given this information, hope you'll consider planting something a little better behaved than horsetail!
