The Q&A Archives: garden boxes

Question: we have 2 garden boxes along our front porch-the length of our front porch. 1 in front of the other. 1 in front is 1/2 half the heidth of the one in back. we have been struggling to make it look right and need a plan. any helping hints?

Answer: I'm sorry but I am not sure exactly what your question is -- but if the boxes look disproportionate you can raise the shorter one (or the taller one) on bricks or blocks and then plant trailing plants to cover the "feet" if needed. If they are portable you can push them back and set other containers in front of them to create an attractive grouping..... If you are looking for plant suggestions, it would be very helpful to know how much sun the boxes receive and what you have tried so far? Please ask again at the website and one of us will do our best to help.
