I hvae 5 rose bushes, not sure how old, that I want to move to a better location in the yard. When should I do this?

The best time to move them would be in fall or February, however, you can do it now (quickly!) if you need to. Trim them back by 1/2 and try to get as much soil with the roots as you can. Set them in the new location at the same depth they were growing, press the soil firmly around the roots and water them in well.
