The name of hardy hibiscus that would be a perennial and give the longest blooming time for our area preferably a
deep red color.

You might try the named hardy Hibiscus hybrids such as "Lord Baltimore" with huge bright red flowers, the slightly darker "New Blood Red" or the aptly named "Ruffled Cerise". You might also see a chance seedling you like among the "Southern Belle" series if you shop when the plants are in bloom. These plants will all bloom longer if kept well watered and planted in a very rich soil in full sun.
