The Q&A Archives: AMAZOY Zoysia grass

Question: i am interested in purchasing some of your amazoy zoysia grass plugs and i was wondering what time of year is best for planting these plugs early spring or after a chance of frost if you could tell me what month would be the best and how long it would take you to ship these plugs to my home i think the 600+60free with free plugger will do the job please reply soon so inow when to order my plugs thank you brian bowe

Answer: In partial answer to your question, warm weather grasses such as zoysia are usually started in mid to late spring when the soil warms. Most suppliers will ship the plugs at about the right time for your area, although it is of course a good idea to verify that with them. Since Burpee does not currently sell zoysia plugs, I can't answer the rest of your question. You might want to double check your lawn catalog and see if there is an 800 number you can use to call the grass supplier instead. Good luck with your zoysia!
