I recently moved to NC from the midwest. We had raspberries from July through the first frost. Will rasberries grow in NC? If so, what varieties are best for the climate?

You can grow 'Summit' and 'Golden Summit' raspberry cultivars in your Zone 7 garden with reliable results. Summit is a productive red everbearing variety and should produce a crop the first season it's planted. This variety should be mowed down to within a few inches of the ground each winter. 'Golden Summit' culture is the same, but this plant produces delicious golden colored fruit, instead of the traditional red fruit.
