| I would like to use my potato peels and pieces of potato for compost however some of the potatos have brown spots inside. Will these hurt the soil and cause a disease when they decompose? |
| It is possible that they could still cause a problem even though they have been through your composting process. Since most home piles do not heat up as far as they really should, it is a good idea not to add any diseased material to the mix just to be on the safe side. |
