Answer: Try tithonia (Mexican sunflower), and some regular sunflowers (Helianthus). The latter come in many colors, heights and bloom size, and all make great cut flowers. Once the plants get established, they should need little or no supplemental water. If you'd rather grow perennials, yarrows (Achillea sp.) also offer a wide range of colors, and are excellent for bouquets.
