When and how long does it take to germinate Poppy Flower Seeds. I am looking to grow red Poppies to attract the hummingbirds in my area. I need to know when to start the seeds for the spring hummers.

Poppies such as the Flanders, Iceland or Champagne Bubbles and Shirley types are normally started from seed broadcast in the garden in very early spring or late the preceding fall. The Flanders and Shirley poppies take about 90 to 100 days to bloom, the Iceland Poppies take about 120 days.
