Blueberries and caneberries should be fertilized in March with a complete, balanced fertilizer. Use a standard 10-10-10 ratio of N-P-K, applying 4 ounces to each raspberry plant. Blueberries should be fertilized just as the flower buds begin to open (usually March). Apply one ounce for each year the blueberry plant has been in the garden (to a maximum of 8 ounces). You can apply an additional 1/4 to 1/2 ounce about 6 weeks later. Don't overfertilize or you'll end up with lots of foliage at the expense of fruits.
