I am doing a design garden. I'm interested in the boxwood for a use in my design. Is it an expensive shrub? How much does it cost? and where do I purchase the shrub?

Boxwood (Buxus) is a relatively slow growing shrub and as such is somewhat expensive in larger sizes. Rooted cuttings are available for a few dollars each. Many larger garden centers will carry them in the spring, but they can also be purchased by mail from larger perennial and specialty nurseries such as Bluestone Perennials (800-852-5243), Wayside Gardens (800-845-1124) or Carroll Gardens (800-638-6334).
