I am looking for a fast growing groundcover to plant around some trees, in a flower bed. What do you suggest for the Mississippi Gulf Coast area?

For a spot with good sun to shade try Tapien Verbena, Polygonium, Moneywort (Lysimachia nummularia), Scotch moss(Sagina subulata, or Sedum.

For shadier areas Carpet Bugle (Ajuga reptans) is a good choice.
