The Q&A Archives: Germinating Fuchsia

Question: How long does it take fuchsia

Answer: Primrose seeds need a period of cold before they will germinate. Place the pots in a plastic bag and put them in the fridge for 3 weeks. (Make sure that the soil is just moist and not dripping wet). Remove, keeping plastic bags on pots and keep at 60-65 degrees F. Germination should take place in 10-40 days. Remove the plastic bags when you see emerging seedlings and grow on under lights. Fuchsias are easy to grow from seed. Wait a few more weeks. If you are curious, dig up the seed and examine it. You won't hurt it...then replant.
