The Q&A Archives: Plumerias In Florida

Question: Is it possible to obtain and grow plumeria here in central Florida. Where can I order the plumeria plants?

Answer: Yes you can. However, like other plumeria growers throughout the south you will have to bring them in for the winter.

Plumerias in containers are brought into an indoor area where the temps stay above 50 and allowed to dry out. Plants in the soil are dug and stood in a corner of the garage or another room that stays above 50.

At the end of winter, plants are moved back outdoors.
