If I order heirloom seeds now, can I plant them next season (1-year from now) if stored properly? I'm planning in the unlikely event that Y2K creates major problems. |
Heirloom seeds, or any seeds for that matter, should remain viable for 2-3 years (sometimes longer!) if stored properly. Place them in an airtight container and store them in a cool, dark location, such as the back of a cupboard or on the floor in a closet. Keep seeds away from sources of heat, humidity and light, and they will last quite a long time. |
