The Q&A Archives: Caring for a Purple Passion

Question: I just bought a purple passion, and it is drooping already. I'm not sure what it likes - sun, shade, cool, warm or what. Please help me. Thanks. Sandi Maine

Answer: If possible, place your plant in an east-facing window. Keep soil evenly moist--trying not to get water on the leaves. Your plant might be suffering from the shock of going from the cooler, humid conditions in a greenhouse to the relatively warm, dry indoor air. Try misting the plant with warm water or setting the plant on a plate filled with small stones and water, to provide some humidity.
