Seed from St. Augustine is very difficult to locate. In addition to this, turf experts tell us that the germination rate is not very good and the quality of turf is less than you will get when you plant an improved variety from plugs or sod.

The variety 'Raliegh' is a proven standard in your area and is resistant to St. Augustine decline virus. I think it would be your best bet.

Good luck with your lawn.
