The Q&A Archives: Surface Tunnels in Lawn

Question: We have recently noticed "surface tunnels" in our lawn. Parts of the grass seem to be separated with the dirt underneath showing through almost looking like a maze. There is no raised earth, just a separation of the lawn.

Does this indicate moles or could it be something else?

Answer: It sounds like these are moles. You might check the following web site for a detailed description of moles and their activities as well as control measures, including the most effective -- traps.
