When should bird house gourd seeds be planted?

Seeds for Bird House gourds should be planted as soon as the soil warms up in the spring. The grouds can take up to 140 days to mature, so the earlier you can get the seeds in the ground, the better your chances of harvesting large gourds prior to the first frost of the season. The soil should be warm enough to plant about two weeks after your last frost of the season (usually mid-April).
