"Plum Granny" is an old, colloquial name for pomegranates. Like apples, peaches and most other types of fruits, pomegranates are normally purchased as grafted plants of a desirable variety. 'Wonderful' is one of the most common varieties, but several others exist in the trade.

Some sources for pomegranates are listed below:

One Green World, 28696 S. Cramer Road, Molalla, OR 97038-8576; 503-651-3005; http://www.onegreenworld.com

Edible Landscaping, PO Box 77, 361 Spirit Ridge Ln., Afton, VA 22920; Questions:(804)361-9134; Fax: (804)361-1916; Orders: 1-800-524-4156; http://www.eat-it.com/menu.htm

Ison's Nursery And Vineyards, P.O. Box 190, Brooks, GA 30205; (770) 599-6970 or 1-800-733-0324.
