| I grew everbearing strawberries in your redwood strawberry tower last year. I overwintered them in an unheated garage. I began moving them outside on days and nights that didn't freeze and began watering them. They don't show sign of life yet. Will they come back or do I need to replace them? Any other tips on fertilizer would be appreciated. |
| Strawberry crowns are hardy and should return year after year. As soon as the weather warms, you should see sprouts coming from the crowns of the plants. You can fertilize your plants once they've begun growing, but feed lightly. Too much Nitrogen will produce lush foliage at the expense of flowers and fruit. Use a 5-10-10 fertilizer as a side-dressing when the plants begin to grow and once again after the first crop is harvested. |
