I recently purchased an umbrella tree. However, I do not know how to care for it. Could you please provide me with information and care for the tree?

I hope we are thinking of the same tree, the Umbrella Pine or Japanese Umbrella Pine (Sciadopitys verticillata). This is a lovely hardy evergreen usually growing to about 25 feet tall and slightly less wide. It grows very slowly, maybe a half a foot a year and prefers a rich, moist, acid soil in a sunny location which has good air circulation but is not extremely windy. You might want to check with your supplier to see if they have any particular care recommendations which must be followed in order to satisfy any guarantee on the plant. In general, you will need to be sure the plant receives adequate water until it is well established and it will appreciate a few inches of organic mulch to suppress weeds and help maintain soil moisture.
