I have the perfect spot for an Areca Palm in my living room the only problem is that they do not do good in drafty areas and it is about 10 ft. from the door. I was wondering if there are any plants similar or not to this one that will do good in drafty areas.

Your statement that Butterfly Palms (Areca Palms) don't like drafts is correct. However, unless the door is always open, or used constantly, it shouldn't cause any problems for your palm if the plant is 10 feet away from the door. Since the spot is otherwise perfect, why not grow your palm there? If drafts cause problems, you might be able to move the palm slightly when the weather is cold and the door is frequently used.
