We have a five foot high wrought iron fench between our yard & our neighbors. Their yard is messy & we want to cover the wrought iron with something that will cover the area well summer & winter. Maybe a vine that has flowers? Summer can be 100 to 110 degrees and frost at times in the winter. The fence faces north & south. |
Most of the really durable evergreen vines don't produce flowers, but you might consider Acacia redolens, Bougainvillea, Dictictis (Trumpet Vine), Caroline Jessamine, Passiflora, Honeysuckle, Trachelospermum (Star Jasmine), Polygonum aubertii (Silver Lace Vine). All are evergreen, and most flower sometime during the year. Hope this helps! |
